Hammonds Construction Sustainability

HCI is currently a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). We are working on over $20 million worth of projects that will be LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified. The LEED Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. Additionally, HCI has a member on staff who recently completed his certification to become a LEED Accredited Professional.

HCI believes that in our situation today, Sustainability is more important than ever. There are several reasons for this: our damaged environment, rising energy costs, and quality of construction which we can be confident in passing on to our future generations.

Realizing these pressing issues, HCI has implemented an initiative called HCI Sustainability. This initiative sets goals for HCI and attainable dates for the goals listed here:

  • Divert 50% of construction waste from disposal on all new projects, starting today. .
  • Provide and promote green building practices in Southern Oregon.
  • Turn Southern Oregon, and anywhere else we may build, into one of the most sustainable areas in the United States.
  • Construct the highest quality projects at the most affordable prices.

If you would like to know more about what HCI is doing or have any questions regarding sustainable building, whether commercial or residential, please contact Matt by emailing him or calling him at 541.826.2777.

Thank you for joining us on our journey of Sustainable Building.
